When you place an order for ThermoChar® cladding, you specify the timber species, size, and profile according to your project’s requirements. From there, we follow a meticulous process to transform your selected timber into bespoke, durable cladding, delivered ready for installation.

STEP 1:
Machining to Your Specifications
Precision Cutting: Once your order is placed, the selected timber is precisely cut to the specified widths and lengths using advanced machinery. This ensures that each piece matches your exact dimensional requirements.
Profiling: The timber is then profiled to achieve the desired edge detail or surface texture. This step is crucial for ensuring the boards fit together perfectly and provide the aesthetic look you envision.
STEP 2:
Custom Hand-Charring
This is done for both durability and aesthetics.
Traditional Techniques: Each board is individually charred by our expert craftsmen using traditional techniques that have been refined over years. This manual charring process involves carefully applying heat to the surface of the wood, creating a carbonized layer that enhances the wood's resistance to decay, pests, and fire.
