Unlike traditional hand-charred timber, Sumika™ achieves its bold, dark appearance through a precision-formed surface texture combined with a controlled heat-engineering process. This creates a consistent, tactile finish designed for long-term external performance.
 
The engineered surface increases resilience to scuffs and impact, making it particularly suited to exposed façades and high-contact interior applications.
 
The heat-engineering process reduces moisture content and improves dimensional stability, supporting reliable performance across changing environmental conditions.
Certified Class 1 and Class 0 fire treatment options are available where required.
