How to Prepare Your Home for Autumn.

Autumn is the perfect year for going on a scenic walk and enjoying the orange and yellow leaves that start covering the ground, it's the perfect time to embrace the season before winter arrives and to prepare ourselves for the cold, darker nights ahead, and the perfect time to turn your home into a cosy autumnal haven.

Create a warm and inviting space.

As the weather gets crisper, it's ideal to keep your indoors warm, this can be easily done by throwing an autumnal-inspired blanket across your sofa and bed. The thicker textures will create a warm atmosphere. If you don't want to keep the blankets draped continuously then stacking them in a basket so they are handy when you want them will also create an autumnal feel, in addition to this, you could even change up your cushions to match the season, such as earthy greens and deeps red!

If you're lucky enough to have a fireplace, now's the time to stock up on wood fuel. Our QBriquettes are 100% natural, recyclable, and sustainable which provide a stable and longer burn compared to standard briquettes. You could even invest in a fire basket to sit next to your fireplace which will enable the aroma of the QBriquettes to fill your house.

Enhance your entrance.

Create a warm entrance to cheer yourself up on colder days. This can be easily done by placing planters on either side of your front door, which you can fill with winter honeysuckles or even pumpkins! Check out our planters range to discover how you can create the perfect entrance to your home.

Organise your lighting.

For those long, dark cosy nights, you are going to need to think about how to light up your area. Lights placed lower down give a more flattering and romantic feel so think about placing lamps or tea light holders around the room. For a rustic feel, check out our ThermoChar® tea light holders. To go one step further, invest in some pumpkin and cinnamon-scented candles.
